About the Mindfulness Facilitator

Rev. Sula A. Kosacky
After finishing seminary in 2012, Sula trained with the Canadian Association of Spiritual Care and worked as a chaplain, and eventually department head of Spiritual Care in the William Osler Healthcare System in Brampton, Ontario. She has also completed training with Mindfulness Without Borders, and is certified as a program facilitator. In 2019, she started designing Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programs to support frontline healthcare staff, and was invited to present a theory paper on the program at the International Conference on Mindfulness in Auckland, New Zealand. When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, she helped several healthcare organizations in Toronto, Oakville, Brampton and Mississauga create and implement MBSR support programs for frontline medical staff. Today she works in a United Church of Canada congregational setting in order to provide wellness and support programming for the church and wider community.
