Cost of Camp

There will be a $50 increase to the cost of a week at camp for the 2021 season (as compared to our 2020 day camp fees), to account for the additional health and safety measures that will need to be taken due to COVID-19.

Camper safety takes priority, and with projections that COVID-19 will still be playing a role in our decisions at camp this summer, extra precautions will be necessary. Along with the expected additional cleaning, sanitizing, and hand washing supplies, this increase will allow for the purchasing of program equipment (high ropes harnesses, archery bows and strings, arts and crafts supplies etc.), so that we can minimize the sharing of equipment, and there will be enough time for proper sanitizing between uses.

It is projected that the cost of operating camp will increase by 15-20% with all of the necessary COVID-19 changes, which will be only partially covered through camper registrations, and so we will be organizing fundraising efforts to help cover the rest of those costs.

Bursary Program

This year we are also making it a priority to increase the capacity of our camper bursary program. We recognize the financial impact that COVID-19 has had on families and are committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not impact access for children to experience a transformative summer at camp. Families that would like to apply for full or partial coverage of camp fees are asked to submit the following information to director@cavespringscamp.on.ca

1) A brief outline of your circumstances of need
2) The week at camp you would like for your camper to attend (dates found above)
3) The amount you are able the contribute to the cost of camp this summer

Bursary requests will be reviewed on a rolling basis on the 1st of each month March-June.

Before and After Care

There are additional fees for before and after camp care.
If you require only one of either care from 8:00-9:00am or from 4:00-5:00pm, there is a charge of $25/week per camper.
If you require both before and after care, there is a charge of $40/week per camper.

Lunch, Snacks and Tuck

Campers will be responsible for providing their own lunch and snacks for camp. There will be scheduled 2 snack breaks and a lunch break each day. Groups will be assigned an outdoor space for lunch (weather permitting). Lunches and snacks are to be nut free. During 2nd snack break campers will be invited to participate in “tuck”, individual snacks provided by camp. Tuck examples include, freezies, goldfish crackers, fruit snacks, s’mores, and special Friday “campers choice” chips, chocolates, or candies.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations as a result of program closures mandated by the Ontario government and Niagara Public Health will be eligible for full reimbursement minus a per camper per week administrative fee.
  • Cancellations made prior to June 1st are eligible for refund minus the $25 deposit fee.
  • Cancellations between June 1st – 1 week prior to your camp session are subject to a $100 cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations made less than a week before camp are not subject to a refund unless compelling evidence is provided to the director

Faith Formation

Campers are introduced to God in a new and exciting fashion. We recognize that children come from a variety of backgrounds and we strive to provide them with a safe environment to learn about God. Children participate in a daily session where they sing contemporary worship music, led by a worship band. They also watch an age-appropriate drama that runs the span of the week. After session, children take part in small group discussions and activities where they are encouraged to ask questions and recap what took place during the daily drama.
