Firstly, working at summer camp is the best job in the world! We select staff members based on their readiness to provide caring, safe, and fun-filled experiences for campers. We hope that staff will work together as a team to ensure that campers have as much fun as possible- while having fun themselves! As a result, staff members often form strong bonds that last beyond their years spent at camp.
Above all, a supportive community among our staff, campers, families and camp supporters is what we strive to create.
The Hiring Process
Each staff member will participate in the following process:
1) Submission of an online application.
2) Attendance at an in-person interview.
3) Reference checks.
4) Submission of First Aid certifications and Police Record Checks.
5) Participation in staff training weekend (May) and staff training week (June).
6) Community support and mentoring by senior staff members.
Finally, successful summer staff candidates are required to complete an 8-week contract (July-August). Staff members will receive support and training as well as the opportunity for growth and feedback throughout.
